IJN Submarine I-14

"Bob Cicconi prepares to launch from the deck of the IJN Submarine I-14 in 1/700 scale, in this "On Display" feature!"

The Project...
The project started with the 1/700 I-14 from the Skywave I-13/I-14 kit. I made the periscopes and shears from scratch, and used the Tom’s IJN detail set for the sub and Seiran scout plane. I used a brass barrel for the deck gun, Fine Molds single and triple 25mm guns, stretched sprue for the deck antenna, and caenis line for the antenna wires with some white glue to make the insulators.

WEM and Testors paints were used to paint the sub and aircraft. It was a fun build, and didn't take very long to complete due to the sub's lack of complexity.

Hi Bob As usual a very clean built, with good improvements! I still think you should call for help on the "little people" - it would improve it more and would give it some action Congratulations, Rui

Hello Bob, great looking sub or should that be boat ? The 2 wires coming off the conning tower with what looks like metal blocks, how did you get these to stay where they are ?
