1⁄48The Mariners' Museum - Big Model Ships

Comments
The Mariners' Museum in Newport News, Virginia, is over 90,000 square feet of gallery space with rare figureheads, handcrafted ship models, Civil War ironclad USS Monitor artifacts, paintings, artifacts from antiquity to today, full-size dioramas of CSA Virginia and USS Monitor.
This feature is of the large gallery of large-scale ships. There are dozens of these models. I did not have time to archive each one although I noted that all of them that I looked at are scaled to 1/48. The exception is the cutaway tugboat and its operating engine.
