Basilios Giehos shares one of his latest commision works with us; a 1/350 scale Dockside scene of the IJN Mogami and Submarine with kaitens.
This build is centered around Tamiya's 1/350 scale IJN Mogami and IJN Submarine with kaitens; with addtional details from AFV Club. This is a Commission work project.
The Tamiya model was amazing. One of the better model I ever built. However, the kit was upgraded using the FlyHawk set to add some details. The whole construction was really a pleasure! Both models were painted using Lifecolor acrylics and Oilbrushers from AMMO by Mig for the weathering. The two warehouses were scratch built from Evergreen styrene strips. The two factory buildings are from BlackDog miniatures and were used a lot of figures from Northstar Models, L,Arsenal, and Eduard. All the other details like vehicles, cargo, barrels are from L'Arsenal. The palm trees and the vegetation at the small park are from 4D Modelshop. It was a commission work, which I couldn't easily bring myself to part with it!! ~ Bill

Basilios,
Awesome models! It must be Greece's sea faring tradition that you create such incredible naval models.
I look forward to the next one.

Outstanding work! The band and flag raising ceremony by the little park are fun touches!
