Jean D’ Arc

The latest from my favorite patron is the 1/700 scale Jean D’ Arc from HP models. The kit itself is serviceable as best. Molding and level of detail are fair, but not great. The instructions are pictographic and very basic. The kit lacks any PE or decals of any sort which makes for a bit of a scratch build project. I used multiple leftover decals for the helicopter deck and made my own “R97” hull numbers with Testors’ ink jet paper and setting solution. They are not the greatest decals as they are a bit thick, but serviceable in this situation.

The photo etch was also a hodgepodge of whatever I had laying around to make due to approximate the ship as well as possible.

Nice job David. She sure is an improvement over the old Heller kit!
