Nice looking ship. I could do with out the white metal parts, I just don't think they get the detail out of the white metal that they get from resin. Thats my two cents worth.

Yes it is a good model, although I have to agree that the white metal parts could be replaced by resin

I'd say that Kenny is misusing irony when it should be "coincidental", but maybe that's just word-smith anal-retentiveness.

The kit is for her 1941 fit, not 1942, or at least not the majority of 1942. Her aft two torpedo launchers were removed & replaced with K gun launchers in February or so of 1942 as she was expected to run across more enemy submarines than ships. As a clarification on Kenny's history, she headed to the west coast in December of 42 for conversion to APD, and was back in Hawaii by February of 1943. So if you've got some extra K-gun launchers in 700th you can do Ward from February to December of '42. Schematics showing their locations are up on my Ward site in the gallery of schematics.
