I checked out the FS conversion based on Tamiya's instructions but I am not sure if they are accurate especially when coverted to Vallejo's & Humbrol's range.
I am painting the main colors of my BIG E with Humbrol and intend to do color variations and touch ups with Vallejo.
Which colors from Model Color and Model Air , as well as Humbrol do you guys recommend be it listed below or other colors?
Flight & Hanger Deck [FS 36118]
XF-24 : Tamiya
868 : Vallejo
112 : Humbrol
Safety Netting,etc [FS 26044]
XF-63 : T
995 : V
67 : H
Hull's Horizontal Surfaces [FS 36375] (3:1 ratio..I am interested only in the main color)
XF-66 (+XF-50) : T
990 (+964) : V
127 (+157) : H
Hull's Vertical Surfaces are supposed to be the same [FS 36375] in 3:1 ratio but using White color instead.
Thanks!

Sorry dude, I don't use either of those brands. I remembr using testors European grey for the hanger deck and Gunship gray for the flight deck (i wanted it a bit less drk) when i did my Nimitz. I can not remember for the life of me what i used for the vertical surfaces....somethig btwn light and medium gray. I mix a lot so that kind of hurts accurte advice.
