Heya, Folks!
I've just started the Trumpeter 1/72nd scale LCAC...
No surprise that the deck looks like it has a non-skid coating on it (except for the tie-down strips I would think). Does anyone have any tips for creating the non-skid texture in 1/72nd scale...?
I've used model railroad ballast and Mr. Surfacer in 35th scale armor projects, but have never had to replicate it on a model this small!
Many thanks for any and all help!!
Would love to see an LCAC kit in 35th scale one day, but it'd be as big as a dinning room table, and probably cost as much, too!
Thanks again, folks...
Regards and Aloha,
Johnny B.

Johnny is that you ? Are you going to bring it LAMS one day ? I have the 1/144 scale one, but have'nt started it yet---the rubber float ring cushion gives me a scare I hope that it does not crack as the vinyl tires have on some kits.

I've seen someone use ordinary flour for non skid on a 1/72 AFV before - cover thesurface with glue then sprinkle on. Looked good and wasn't overscale.
