Could someone on this forum advise me on which Tamiya acrylic paint tints I need to order for the following USN vessels:
1. Revell 1/144 Fletcher ( two tone camo version)
2. Dragon 1/350 Independence light carrier in WW II straight grey camo with decks stain blue flight deck.
3. Trumpie 1/200 USS Arizona
Revell would seem to necessitate mixing several colo
rs to obtain the correct shades. It seems the more you dive into USN WW II colors the more complex things become
Advise please anyone?
Cheers,
Julian

Tamiya does not have exact matches either. If you want exact matches across the board you'll need to go to White Ensign Models' "Colourcoat" paint line. Otherwise you're going to have to choose what looks close to you or mix.

Thanks Tracy, I was rather afraid that would be the answer. The WEM colorcaot is enamel isn't it?
