Hey guys,

I'm interested in modelling a collection of the original eight American flat-tops (Langly through Hornet) in a single scale. Preferably in plastic to keep the costs down, and in a smaller scale to save on space.

My question is, are all eight even available in a single scale? 1:700 seems to come close between Trumpeter and Tamiya, but the USS Langly and USS Ranger seem to be missing. Or are there kits that I'm over looking?

Maybe the wargaming scales would be an option? but then that may not be so much an exercise in modelling as it is an exercise in painting...

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Goes without saying your best bet is in 1/700. There's no other scale in terms of availability. Langley and Ranger are available in resin only and this is unlikely to change soon.
