Boris, check out www.shipcamoflage.com. Great site on U.S.N. ship camoflage schemes throughout W.W.2. It will show you the camoflage scheme for your ship for different periods and tell you the Navy colors. As far as I know, all of the Essex Class carriers' decks were Norfolk 250N Flight Deck Stain, basically Deck Blue. For exact matches in paint, check out White Ensign's Colourcoats line of enamels. I've used them almost exclusively for years and they can't be beat. They are also the best matches for the U.S.N. (and other combatants as well) paint colors available.
Hope this helps,

Bob

What year?
1943 = Camouflage Measure 21
5-N Navy Blue on all vertical surfaces
20B Deck Blue on all metal decks
#21 Flight Deck Stain on the wood decks, which was formulated to look as close as can with a stain to 5-O Ocean Gray paint.

White Ensign makes these colors in enamels, for Acrylic you will need a conversion/mix chart.

Measure 21 was a WW2 measure only. The Korean War scheme was Measure 27, almost the same as the current USN scheme. If you're using Colourcoats:

All vertical surfaces, No.27 Neutral Haze Gray, Colourcoats US 28;
Steel decks, No. 20 Neutral Deck Gray, Colourcoats US 36;
Flight deck, 20-B Deck Blue (still a holdover from WW2), Colourcoats US 10;
Underwater hull, Norfolk 65-A Antifouling Red, Colourcoats US 14.

You may interested in looking at hundreds of photos of ESSEXs WWII, and Post war, by www.stillmotiionsphotographics.com , and since you are in Holland, White Ensign Models carries my USN PHoto DVDs---far more pictures on one DVD than ANY one book.
