The title says it all really.
I have a Tamiya KGV (years old) and recently purchased a Trumpeter Admiral Hipper, and I'm thinking a slightly different colour on the hull would look more appropriate (different countries, different paint).
So how do I go about lightening XF-9?
White'll turn it pink so Tan? Orange? Yellow?
Help much appreciated

Hi Tom,

One well known modeler, from your side of the pond, suggests
that Tamiya flesh will lighten any color without affecting
the tone.

I keep Tamiya Buff and Flesh on hand just for these reasons. They are highly effective for color blending and reduction respectively, and are often out of stock due to their popularity. Buy a pot or two of both when you find some.

Intersting. Thanks for the tip! I've used buff for OD and greens but never anything else. Will have to try this out.
