I'm going to return to building ships after a long absence and have some questions about painting these models.

The ships in question are:
H.M.S Warspite (1942)
H.M.S Belfast (1942) and finally
H.M.A.S Sydney (1941)

I'm hoping that there are someone out there with more knowledge then me out there that can enlighten me!

I'm not sure if you prefer enamels or acrylic paint, but White Ensign Models has exact paint matches in their Colourcoat line of paint. They also have a paint guide with two of the three ships listed, albeit no dates attached.

HMAS Sydney, when lost, was wearing Alexandria-type camouflage consisting of AP 507A Admiralty Dark Grey and AP 507C Admiralty Light Grey; steel decks were painted AP 507A and wood decks were natural teak. She may have had Corticene covering her bridge decks.
