I'm building the Russian cruiser "Varyag" and want to do the white color scheme. The instruction show a green lower hull color, but I've seen several color plates and finished modelles, where the lower hull is painted red. Which color is the right one?

Hi Jacob,

As far I recall from top of my head, the Zvezda instructions are correct for the commisioning status up to delivery to Brasov. After having arrived there, the lower hull was repainted hull red.

War time livery should be dark green with lower hull remained hull red.
