Hi everyone.
I can't believe that I am almost at the paiting stage of my model VIIC U-boat. As an armor builder, I am used to overspray and the lore of lousy paint jobs on German armor. When looking at photos of the U-boats and other builds, the break between the lower hull and upper hull on these boats looks rather clean. Is this the case or would there have been a bit of overspray on the hull?
Thanks.
Alex

I posted this on another link not so long ago to assist in the painting of U-boats.

Hi Alex,
No overspray....it is a distinct line.
Cheers,
Joe

As on all ships and boats, there's a nice straight and neat line at the waterline. No boot topping though, just grey above and black (or very dark gray) below.
