Looking to paint the Big "E" in her war time colors. Every photo I come across is B&W

What color can I use for the deck? What matches the blue stain deck?

Can the lower hull and bridge stay light gray?

Looks like this ship had so many different paint schemes. Just looking for the basic colors, no camouflage ~ thank you!

If you are going for a wartime fit, the sides of the ship were always camouflaged in various measures. You could possibly do pre war with the lighter grey vertical surfaces (#5 Navy Grey)and have the Mahogany Flight Deck Stain (reddish-brown) and Insignia Yellow markings. Early war the deck was Flight Deck Stain 250-N. For late war, it was (could be wrong) Flight Deck Stain 21.IIRCC, any early war flight deck markings were Flight Deck Stain 251-N which again IIRCC, is a match for 5-O Ocean Grey. Not sure I can help you out with close matches as I usually use WEM, Polly S or Model Masters Acryl paints that are supposed to be exact matches. Hope this was of some help. Jon
