Can anyone provide any photos, diagrams, or any other information on the layout of the helm area on PT 564. From what I have found on the University of New Orleans archives it appears the helm was actually on a pedestal centrally located in the recessed bridge area. It is a departure from the normal helm area, to port and directly on the rear edge of the chart house. And I can find no location for any instrumentation. Thanks for any help.

Happy Holidays to all.

Hi Larry,

Pictures and plans here of the 70' Higgins boat, hope it helps. Interesting write up at the bottom, she was certainly fast and manoeuvrable.

Thanks Kev and Dr. Ross. That is a great picture of the helm area and confirms the picture I had drawn in my mind from the limited drawing I have found.

Dr. Ross I would be interested in any other photos you may have of the Hellcat. I am doing a 1/20th RC model and would like to be as correct as possible, I plan to do it in the later configuration with roll off racks.
