Well here's an very old kit that was commission side build to be finish by February 2016, since its been seating for years in their small warehouse, the decals are already pulverize, the box have termite damage... instruction manual was nowhere to be found... its a challenging build even in small part count, but the main problem here is the mold slide for the whole kit part. might as well build the rigging only but not to the extend of whole railing stuffs... I'll better give him a trumpeter kit lol
here's the Mast that I've been repairing
for reference
P.S. this will be a long build

Thanks, Todd its a ton of work removing the flashes, sanding what I could to make an even surface, filling up the sink marks which is visible on every kit part... and I just clean the 20 pcs of 40mm guns individually

Wow Chester, it is great to see someone building that grand old kit from 1953!
I built Revell's Missouri as a kid... thought it was the best kit ever! Good luck with her.

Hello ER:
I echo Tim's sentiment. I have built several of those in my life, have fun with it. You are taking on a big project and making good progress on it returning it to it's former glory.

Hi Tim, did you mean its a 1953 kit? will do what I can on this
Mark, you have a lot of patience building these kits... kindly share some for me lol
Clean and scrape the mold slides on the 40mm twin guns
The structures are still on working... putty works, window works...
Primered and painted the upper deck with dark grey
Cheers!!!

Lower hull painted with Gunze Red Hull will let this one dry a few hours and will start hand painting the wooden deck with Vallejo Deck tan... will have to dry it for a day before I could mask again for the black line on the hull.

Nice work, Chester. I like the wood deck especially.
As for being halfway through, my memory of building this kit is that after the clean up of the smaller parts was finished things moved along pretty rapidly. Anyway, your build is looking great so far!
