This year it was the USS Constitution Model Shipwright Guild that sponsored the event. They are the largest model ship association on the East Coast hold their meetings overlooking Old Ironsides at the USS Constitution Museum. In addition to monthly meetings the Guild takes part in the annual meeting of model clubs from Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. They also attend the annual Salem Maritime Festival and the Antique & Classic Boat Festival, as well as the biennial Woods Hole Model Boat Show.
