Todd,
She is really coming together with the color added. A very menacing looking vessel which I am sure made the waterways hazardous for nefarious characters. Very nice work
Dave

Guess you can t put more firepower on a hull like this ! Amazing work with all these tiny details, Todd. Well done !
Uschis "rig that thing" seems to work good, i bit expensive but rewarding in the result.

Thanks Dave!! LOL...I doubt they have any real problems on the river! he nefarious characters probably stick to driving on roads!
Thanks Si! Funny how a little paint makes something come alive so quickly!
Thanks Bernd! Appreciate the kind words! Uschi's stuff is actually pretty darn good. Workability it is comparable to E-Z line...cost...it's actually a bit better. Seems like a lot I guess for something so tiny, but there is 150 feet on a spool. I think I might of used almost 2 inches...and I hate waste because I cut big.
Okay....I am calling this DONE! Something simple and quick...right? Here she is...
Thanks for coming along for the ride!!

Hi Todd -
really a quick build, I missed it entirely during my time off, sorry for that!!
Now that is something out of the beaten track - fantastic!! And the comparison to the little Vallejo paint bottle, amazing how small she is...
Great work, and a very special model!! And at the same time, congratulations on commissioning!!
Cheers

Ahoy Todd
Nice build indeed.
I am imagining if the Germans did this if it would be Tiger 1 or Panther turret on a small river monitor! :-)
Cheers

Many thanks Sean! Now that would be an interesting What-If! Dingy tricked out with a couple Pz. IV turrets and Flak 38's!

Wow, I completely missed this one ( and a lot other things ). I like the way it turned out, a very good job and a great model. The only comment would be the barrels a little too long for the quad ( although much better looking than PE barrels) and the waterline, it is too low and usually it was painted with a white line. But other than this, it's gorgeous.
Yes, they are mean looking, but as you know, Russia and Ukraine are very close, so i think we would need some more. As to fire power, take a look at the real monitors we have ( 3 ships ), the brutar class are just armoured patrol boats: http://romaniaforum.info/board3-marina-romana-romanian-navy/board409-marina-militara-romana-dupa-1945-romanian-navy-after-1945/board675-romanian-navy-after-1945-danube-fleet/276-45-47-mihail-kogalniceanu-class-river-monitor/
Todd congrats for your work, i hope i will show mine in a short time.
