Could the people of this board give me their opinion of something?
The Philippine Navy? Do you think they would answer a question from me?
My father served as BOSUN'S MATE on SC-699 in WW2 in the Philippines. After the war, the USN turned her over to the Philippine Navy, ... my father helped train a Philippine crew before he came home.
I'd like to try and find out what was the final disposition of SC-699 after the Philippine Navy was done with her. Was she scraped? Was she sunk? Was she sold into private ownership?
Do you think I could get the answer(s) I seek?
Tim

Hi Tim,
You can try contacting the Philippine government/navy officials,
there maybe some documents in their archives pertaining to this.
Best answer I can give you and it wouldn't never hurts to try.
Cheers,
Joe
