Hi y'all,

I bought some Sovereign Hobbies Colourcoats modern US Navy paints. I believe they bought the formulas from White Ensign Models.

Anyhow my question is about paint accuracy of the US Navy Haze Grey (gray) M03. Is that an accurate color for the vertical surfaces of the hull and superstructure of a American modern navy ship? It seems a bit dark to me..

Hi,

The color was correct when White Ensign sold the paint.
I have not seen the new company's color, but I am sure it is the same, as you say they have the formulas from WEM.

You can always add a little white to create "the scale effect".

Hi Harry,

That will be my course of action. Thanks for your response.
