And i thought i was rather fast progress and have been told that aswell..
But to each their own i guess.

However, the PE takes alot of time, even when building for 3-4 hours every evening.
Got some more done yesterday, some more today hopefully and then weekend break to work on Prinz Eugen a bit.

Todays update, railings and some platforms, front of superstructure is starting to take shape.

Is that door shaped hole supposed to be there? Looks odd.

Karl,

Very nice work. I hope you don't run into problems painting all that PE without effecting the finish paint work.

There was a slight setback, while painting the paint suddenly decided to ruin everything.

I did get superstructure railings done though, anyone know if Bismarcks catapults had walkways or not? I've heard that since the catapults were replaced at some point they didn't have walkways next to them.

Haven't done much, mostly glued some parts of rear superstructure together and added some railings. With the overpainted air recognition markings on hull.

Starting to near weathering phase, and then base.
Finished funnel and added most of details, just AA guns and boats with couple details of catapults missing.

And first time i had paint do that, goopy and grainy. Same jar that ruined paintjob on brige.

Karl,

Wow, that is one tiny gun. There is no way I could have worked with PE that small. Very nice effort.

Been a while since update, but i have been working on it.
Before being stuck on base.

Working on wake, have added braces for forward breakwater and ladders for mainmast, with oil spill which was present.

Toned down the white

Current state

There will be week long break with no progress as im away from the model.

Another week has passed and some work has been done, mostly to seascape but i also managed to fix a couple mistakes and start rigging the masts.
A cunning idea of making decks wet, could have been worse.

And some rigging
