This is the one that got away.
Built this a year or so back, but was under the cosh with work, so there never was a blog of the build.
Here are a few photos of the finished model.
Cheers

Really cool, Si. That thing has more rigging than a sailing ship!

Wow, that is a lot of rigging. Looks like they wouldn't be able to fire their main guns without cutting a cable.

Thanks Tim,
Sometimes really good references can be a pain. Burt has a very nice rigging plan and some great photographs too.The early radio aerials were extensive.

Hi Mark,
It is, I am assuming most of those lines around the main guns were removable in action, I don't know for sure what their purpose was, but they can be seen in the photographs of the ship at Anchor, could be for raising awnings.

Thanks Thomas,
It was "fun", but I am pleased with the result. I will admit a get a little nervous every time I take her to a show. . But so far so good.

Very kind of you to say to Mate,
I hope it helps your build, when you get round to it.

Wow Si - very, very cool!! What everybody says - and the rigging is magnificent. Even though I keep wondering how that would have worked with firing the guns...
Cheers,
Jan

Thanks Jan.
I was surprised by the layout, but there were clear photos in Burt. The ship was at anchor in them, so could be to do with rigging awnings, or if the ship was being prepared for dressing overall. I don't have a clue. I would presume they would be moved or struck below when she closed up for action.
Thanks gain for your kind comment mate, much appreciated.
Cheers
