Hi!

I was just wondering, of the pictures you have posted, are those plans not in your possession? They look like a good set of plans, given that they're spiral bound and consist of many pages.

Cheers,

Tim

That's too bad. Where did you get these pictures from? Maybe you can ask that person, where they got the plans from. Have you tried looking up the USN's bureau of ships? Maybe they have an archive of drawings you can obtain.

Timothy
i found those pictures online. i treid that FIOD but failed (got
losed in their website)
this what i got from a friend Tom apple

You will have to submit a FOIA request to:
Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Detachment Norfolk, Combatant Craft Division.
You’ll want to request the 1758xxx series drawings or the 4442xxx series (Martinette Marine). Make sure you specify 36-ft LCPL Mk-4

but failed in the process

thanks for your help

Hi Chris,

Well, that was some cool info he provided!! I managed to look-up some of that information that was supplied (I used to be in the military, so I have an inkling as to how they approach things!!). In fact, I was able to submit an on-line FOIA request to the Navy for the 1748xxx series of plans...will have to wait and see what happens next! Stay tuned!

BTW, if you want to track this FOIA submission, the tracking info is DON-NAVY-2019-010621.

Cheers,

Tim

No problem - that's my first FOIA request! Unfortunately, these things usually take time, unless it's something that's currently in the news. I wouldn't be surprised if this request, if they can fulfill it, might take up to 6 months, or even longer.

Just an update - my FOIA fee waiver request has been granted.

No, nothing new. Of course, with Covid-19 precautions in place, I'm sure the processing of this request has gotten even slower. When I know something, I will certainly let you know.
