Here is a photo of 2 parts in the Tamiya PBR kit that I have questions.

The search light is on the right. What is the one on the left? A pump? What's its use on the PBR? For the search light, what is the middle part on the U-shape brace? Does Tamiya use it to simulate wire or it's an actual device that can control the elevation of the search light? Thanks in advance.

The item on the left is the back-up, hand bilge pump used to pump out the hull if the electric bilge pump fails.

For the searchlight, the center piece is supposed to represent the electrical wire for it. The elevation was fixed at a fixed level as it was supposed to sweep the water around the boat. It was only controllable in the horizontal plane.

Thanks Gino.

It seems that the pipe of the pump will be hanging in the middle of the air without any support if the pump is fixed per Tamiya's instruction. Is there any supporting clamp on the pump or on the wall to hold the pipe? Or is it suppose to be swinging in the air? Thanks in advance.
