I'm working on a Tamiya PBR Mk II. The pictures below (from TF116 site) show a search light on a PBR Mk I.

I assume that Mk I and Mk II use the same type of search light. From the pictures, it seems that elevation of the light is controlled by L-shape handle. Pushing handle up to lower the angle of the light to enlight the area close to the boat. Pulling handle down to raise the light to enlight the area further away from the boat. The electrical wire exits from the lower end of the light housing and passes through the base on canopy and enters at one end of the horizontal bar (tube) of the L-shape handle. The other end of the horizontal bar (handle) acts as a rotary swtich to turn on/off the light with vertical rotation motion. Horizonal rotation around the vertical post of the L-Shape handle enable the light to sweep across the water. Are my assumptions valid?

The following pictures show the lower end of the radar mast rig connected to the dashboard of the cockpit.

I assume there are 2 eye-shaped (ring) mounts on the dashboard of the cockpit. The lower end of the rig is like an eye to hook fastener. The hook hooks to the eye mount on the dashboard of the cockpit. The eye of the fastener connected to the wire. From the RDoggett11 picture, it is more like a Y-shape than an O-shape eye. It seems there's a horizontal part on top of the Y which connect the split ends of the wire. Are these assumptions valid? Are the top end of connections to the radar post (close to the bottom of the radar housing) the same as the lower end to the cockpit? What's the purpose of the rig, secure the post or act as part of antenna? Please correct me if I use wrong terms. Thanks in advance for any input.

The explanantion of the light mechanism sounds right.

The lines going from the deck house to the middle and top of the radar mast are guide wires to support the mast. They are not antennas.
