I went back and fixed the weathering on the conning tower. I think it looks better now. I also have added the gun and some chipping around the railing and the rest of the tower, and the three scopes. Comments welcome. Thanks. "Q"

Thanks for the kind words guys.
JM the streaking effects are done with oil paints. Very fun and easy to use. Their longer drying time allows for a longer working time. The time between the two pictures is almost 21/2-3 hours. Try doing that with enamels or acrylics. I'm currently working on the hull, and fake pressure hull. This is going to be lots of fun once it all comes together. Thanks again. "Q"

Nice Matt. I love this kit, and you are doing a bang up job on her!

Hi Matthew!
I have tryed to reply earlyer, but the site crashed "on my hands"
I have three things to say:
First - The "periscope" on the port side it's not a periscope, it's an antena array
Second - The area that you painted a yellowish colour aft of the AA gun is wood... Perhaps you could give it another weathering effect, it looks very metal"ish"
Third - I love the chipping you have done on the raillings!
Now for one request:
I need a MOD Feature on this Beast!
Is it possible?
Keep safe and keep up the good work
Skipper

The yellowish areas you are refering to are wooden seats I take it. I'll go back in and paint them with some wood grain effects. The pictures I have seen of these show them to have been painted. I tried to simulate the chipped paint, but I'll give it another try. Thanks again for the input. "Q"
