Allô JB

As far as I know there's no upgrading kit for the Sturmboot....
Eventually you can make some wiring to the engine

and btw: Welcome to Modelshipwrights

JB,

I guess that those boats were made out of wook, being aluminium better for other more prioritarie things, like making airplanes

Check also this Sturmboat built:

Perhaps you can change experiences, since I have not built this model.

Hope this helps

Thanks for telling, there's sure matter to make a great dio with that one so i'll share some pics eventually, though i'm not sure I'll build it in a conventional way , but here's my scratchbuilt russian Revitzan battleship, only the front, but 1/35 . I swear it's up to scale
thanks for helping -

Well, thanks a lot for your comments Skipper!
Here is some more, the boat itself is plasticard + a lot of mastic, the ornaments are in miliput. There could be some mistakes on the ornaments as the only pictures I could find showed those from afar. The horse is a mix betwwen various Dragon and ICM horses while the cossack is scratchbuilt + Hornet head & hands. The Berdan 2 gun is a modification of an ICM Mosin rifle.

Once again Excellent work

I think you should submit this for a MOD feature in Armorama's Diorama Area
Can you give a little history about your Dio?

(yes, I know, only questions, only questions)

well, I think the Revitzan was seized by the japanese after the fall of Port Arthur, it was taken in their fleet before being scrapped in the early twenties -or so I think. But i prefered imagining a big internal explosion that would have shattered the ship completely, hence the skull on the pebbles and the coal that litters the sea borders, then a few years later this cossack comes and figures out of alcohol excesses (or simply madness) that maybe he can drag the boat or make it fall to get back the copper of the ornaments. Call that extreme artistic license
actually, what i care about is creating unsettling scenes that will make the people wonder wether this is real, historic or possible while it's never the case, and also to carefully construct the scenes, i care a lot for the whole ambiences, and also still try to reproduce the real thing whenever I scratchbuild.
Hope this makes sense!
this si why i definitely want to construct a sturmboot that doesn't look like a Playschool product
