looking for a 1:35 kit of a trawler to convert to armed trawler but if that fails plans to scratch build.

Check out lindburg's kit of a trawler, i don't know the scale but it may work for you. if not the pibber was based on a pleasure boat and modified for the navy. so you can try that. stug

last i checked they didn't have one, but www.greatmodels.com carries their kits. do a database search for lindburg at they should come up. good hunting stug

Hey, KB,

Verlinden makes a 1/35th scale River Barge which may fit your bill. It normally goes for $42.00 or so and the Squadron Mail Order catologue currently has it for $36.95. I've got on on order to use with my Nimix 1/35th scale Monitor in a Vietnam Brown Water Navy diorama. I'll let you know how it is when I get it.
