There is a Russian-language monograph on the G-5 published by Armada. It contains a large number of photos and comprehensive 1/72 scale drawings of the G-5. I got mine through Avia Press (www.aviapress.com).

Aye, mate...
a "pm" stands for "private message"...maybe you're not aware of this feature of Armorama, my friend, but if you look at the very top right hand side of this page, you will see a little envelope, colored yellow when you have a message waiting to be read...it's like an instant message type of communication used here...when someone says "check your pm's", they usually have sent you a message that needs your attention...comprendez-vous?

Hello Friend, The G-5 is the most difficult boat to get building information on. The best place is Harold Fock,"Fast Fighting Boats 1870-1945".
If you would like, I can scan some of the pages about the G-5 class boats. I have never found plans reasonably priced. The Central Museum in Moscow has plans and photos but are hard to deal with. Someone there tried to sell me a set of G-5 plans for $260.00. I did not pay it.
I do have a 72nd scale model kit of the G-5 which I have not put together.
Good Luck
Joe

Hi all
I have to concurr with Al Ross about the publication!
That's the book to get, although is all writen in Cyrilic, the plans (1/72) and photos just help a LOT.
Try to get here (they don't have it right now but they can find it for you, even if it takes some time (months))

And welcome to Modelshipwrights!

Dear Joe,
Can you please tell in which Central Museum in Moscow you found the Tupolev G-5 plans? Is it the Central Museum of Armed Forces? Which section?
Please tell me how you managed to contact them.
Thank you in advance for your reply to: [email protected] ,
Kind regards,
uriuzdil

For those interested in RC, Loyalhanna Dockyard / Hartman is developing both a G5 Tupolev and Bronkater BK1125 in 1/20 scale. Don't have anymore details other than release is expected sometime this year.
