Greetings all,

Those of you who saw my original idea for Pier 51 may remember that in the reference pictures I posted there was a Lighthouse at the end of the pier.

This I felt might be a bit daunting for a novice builder like me, however I recently received an offer I simply couldn't refuse.

This IS NOT MY WORK but the work of an excellent craftsman you will know as Cheyenne. Not only will this building add a real WOW factor to the end of the pier, but knowing the quality of Glen's work set a standard for me to work towards.

Thanks Glen for the pictures - the first stones have been laid and Pier 51 is now underway.

Thanks also to Paul, Tom, Kevin, John and Shey all of whom have contributed towards the build and thanks to all for the feedback on the boats and ideas and suggestions.

Here's a little taste of things to come:

I know a modeller called Cheyenne who never finishes his own dios but has plenty of time to build for others !

:-) :-) :-) :-)

Alan, you couldn't have found a better contributor to your Dio, this tower will turn out great, that's sure.

Good Job Cheyenne !

Cheers
Claude

"where does he get all those marvelous toys?"

Love the stove, carpet and clock, the place already has a nice "homey" feel to it

Ok Alan. Enough is enough. I had to start working on my Leyte Gulf base after seeing the photos. I can't build everything fast enough! You dio is going to look so awesome! I'm turning even greener (if that's possible for a gator) with envy. This is going to look great, keep up the good work (that goes for your subcontractor too)!

later...Gator

Hi Kenny,

Press on with the build mate.

Glen's got me off to a flying start. It will be a long haul, keeps growing by the day :-) :-) :-)

I'm not that fast a builder, but I've got a bit of free time right now so I'm trying to get a fair bit done.

Keep us posted on your build.

Cheers

Wow, Al!

I'm ALREADY bowled over and it ain't even done yet!! No doubt, I will have to seek a physician's prescription to calm my nerves when I see the finished piece!

Keep up the good work, amigo --- this one had "EPIC" written all over it!!

Much Aloha,

Johnny B.
