Hy!

This is my first boat model that I am going to build.

When I first saw the kit in internet few months ago I knew instantly that I want to build it. So last week i went to my local hobby shop and to my suprise it was right there on the shelf.
Naturaly i could not resist an brought it home

Althoug it has only 3 sprues plus some parts it looks good and the fit from first impressions is superb and it should be considering it cost me 40 bucks

anyway here are some first pictures

I am going to build it OOB and any info on the kit would be great.

Donīt know when the real building will start but hope it starts soon.

Well Hello Anti, and Welcome to Model Shipwrights, mate, the best and MOST friendly, helpful, and jolly bunch of old (and young! ) salts around!!

You picked a great start up kit, my friend, and just because the kit has only a few parts, does NOT mean that you can't build 'er up into a fantastic showpiece!! In this day of "Bigger, Better, Faster, More" attitudes, modeling is one area where it can fall back to the basics. . .OOB is OK with me!

Anti, good luck with your build, and please don't be afraid to ask us any questions at all. . .if we don't know the answer, we can probably point ya in the right direction, and we all LOVE to help each other out around here. . .look around, mate, enjoy yourself here, take a look at the operating and upcoming campaigns, and see if you would like to join up. . .above all else, though, have fun and Keep Modeling!!

Hey Anti, welcome to the salty side. I remember building that kit. It's very nice indeed. Has some nice little accesories too. Like bottles, radio and some nice figgies. Feel free to ask any questions. And post lots of pics.

later...Gator

Thank you for the warm welcome to the site.

Hope to post progress pics soon. But I think I need to start a new topic because yesterday strarted assembling it and lost all track of time and at the end the boat was almost assembled.
Its still in sub assemlies for painting purposes.

ou yes the kit is a wonder to build. Superb Tamiya engineering.

Time flies when you're having fun, doesn't it , Anti!

Happens to me all the time. . .before I know it, I'm at the bench for many hours (seem like minutes, though!! )

No worries, mate, you can put your progress pictures here in this thread, my friend, and I'm glad that you're having such a great time with the build!
Looks like another shipwright is born, now, doesn't it!?!

well here are some pics I shot before the camera was taken awey.

Remember much of the stuff isnīt glued together yet.

And yes this build is a lot of fun.

The last pic is just a size comparison with a in progress IDF Sherman.
Itīs intended to show the size of the boat which is big.

No worries Mark I already have a Tamiya Yamato with PE in my stash.
