Hello Everyone,
This is my first post in this forum so if it's a repeat I apologize. Many years ago I made the Tamiya PBR and want to do another one but it seems that they are no longer made. Does anyone know if anyone else makes one? I've tried Googleing it but all I can find are references to the Tamiya one. Thanks

Welcome aboard MSW "DocDavis"
PBR models were made by defunct Peddinghaus in resin and then there's the better Tamiya one.
The above mentioned models were in 1/35 scale... There was also a 1/75 scale resin PBR (waterline) by the also defunct Viking Models.
I would suggest the Tamiya one with Eduard's dedicted PE set.
Hope this helps.
Once again Welcome,
Skipper

Hey Doc have you checked eBay, I just had a look and found a few under $30 bucks, not a bad price. Look under Toys&Hobbies, then search in US Only...type in PBR.

I try to stay away from ebay because of all the scams and other problems people have. I'm on the Look out for the Tamiya kit though. I used to make armor models pretty much exclusively but lately I find my interest drifting over to ships (no pun intended). Must be the time I spent in the USN If I can't get my hands on the PBR I'm thinking about a Battleship. I made a model of the Saratoga-CV60 right after my last cruise on board her but that was the last big ship I did and that was 15+ years ago.
