Hi friends modelers.
I present to you my first trial to make a ship.
I did mistakes and the biggest is the tent in the rear guard.
But soon i'll fix it, replacing the tent.

Ahoy, Dmitrios, and Welcome to Model Shipwrights, mate!
First ship, eh? Looks great, my friend! Very convincing paint and weather job, mate...what did you think of the kit, overall? And since this is your first ship, what do you normally like to build?

A very fine result indeed! I really like the tight work on the rope and the rendering of the wood texture!

Thank you very much all of you for the annotation.
The zvezda kit of trireme is....... good , need good abrading on the tongues
and too much work with oars cuting the flash of plastick and after filing
because the oars its totaly sleek.
The letter Λ on sailcloth mean { ΛΑΚΩΝΙΑ } LAKONIA is the city of spartan.
The difficulty of this construction is the sleek oars ,the buntlines , and
the flash of moldings.
I am so sory for the wrong text but i dont know good English.

Ahoy dimitrios,
That is a super ship! .......very well done.
A couple of figurines would give a nice sense of scale.
And welcome to MSW.

Very nice work mate. The wood looks great and the rigging is very nice. Rigging is not an easy thing to get taut without bending the spars but you have managed it nicely.

Kalimera Dimitrios
Your zvezda trireme looks very good - you should make those corrections and than submit
some photos to a MOD (Model On Display) Feature
The Lambda letter looks very good in the weathered sail, as does the flag / standart and the rigging is very well done!
Congratulations!!
And Welcome Aboard Modelshipwrights!, btw!

Welcome Dimitrios,
Your Spartan Trireme is very good and I would be proud to have something like that in my collection. I have been eyeing these Zvezde kits for a while and after seeing yours I may have to take the plunge.
Ciao

Beautiful ship!!!
I am into airplanes normally but i am currently building, together with my thirteen year old son a Cartagenian warship. I hope that it ends up half as good as this.
Could you tell me how you did the wood. It is excellent and I would love to read which paints you haev used and how you weathered this.

Wow, great job! As everyone has said, paint job and weathering just right, nice rigging, nice everything, and especially for a first ship! Very well done!
I don't see a problem with the tent, but I do agree a few figures would make it come alive.
What else have you built, would love to see it.
