We've got new releases from COMBRIG.. this has only just been announced, and the order's on the way to us already!
With all the attention that Dragon Models receive with their armor releases, it is sometimes easy to forget that they are continuing (albeit more slowly) with an interesting range of ship kits in both 1/350th and 1/700th scale - this is one of their future (august 2005) releases...
White Ensign Models is putting our PE 3585 for the Trumpeter 1/350 USS North Carolina (BB-55) into production.
That's right--something of a surprise we've had tucked away for a while and are now putting into production:
More and more of the 'Aftermarket' companies are beginning to produce 1/7nd scale figures for vessels such as Revell's U-Boat or their German MTB. However, inevitably, these figures can work out quite expensive, particularly if a large number of figures are required....

Last month, DML announced the release of 7049 - U.S.S. Essex in 1/700th scale, now comes advance news of yet another 'Essex' in 1/700th - the U.S.S. Randolph....

White Ensign Models is about to release its photoetch detail set for the Trumpeter 1/350 scale Admiral Kuznetsov.
The Mikasa was a battleship of the Imperial Japanese Navy and was the Flagship of Admiral Togo. It fought in the very famous historic "Battle of the Japan Sea" vs. the Russian Battle Fleet during May 27-28, 1905 and was instrumental during the Russo-Japanese war.
At last, we have completed the design for our photoetch detail set for the Heller 1/400 HMS Illustrious kit.

These well researched and beautifully sculpted figurines will enhance your displays.
Previously the majority of releases from Voyager Model were for 1/35th scale armor kits. Their previous ship releases were a series of railings for ships of various nationalities. Now they have gone a stage further and produced a brass PE set for a particular vessel....
Now (amongst other enhancements) you can give your Revell 1/72 U-boat a bit more anti-aircraft punch!

Well, you've been waiting patiently (OK, mostly patiently) for Mad Peter Hall to finish his handiwork. We're happy to announce that he's wrapped it up, and the set is being etched right now. The price will be a bit higher than anticipated, because he's gone right over the top with this one!

It seems that nowadays, one cannot browse the catalogues of the major after-market manufacturers without finding yet more AM sets for Revell's superb 1/72nd Scale U-Boat. The latest to join this list, is EDUARD....
Plastic injection kits of WW1 naval subjects, are unfortunately about as rare as teeth on hens...With one of their new releases, ICM are going a long way in helping to rectify the situation....
We are now seeing a considerable number of images of Trumpeter's new LCM (3), however for the first time on this site, we are able to offer the images of the 'competition' - Italeri's LCM (3) in 1/35th scale...

With the recent release of Revell's U-Boat in 1/72nd scale, there was always the problem of finding suitable crew figures for it. Andrea Miniatures have now gone a long way to solving the problem..

Tamiya has re-issued the Japanese Light Cruiser Kumano in 1:700 waterline form. I am unsure of wether this is an exact re-issue or has been re-tooled in any way. The old kit number was 31313 and the new number is 31344.
Pit-Road has been on a roll of late and has released many new warship kits for ship builders to salivate over. The folks at Hobby-Link Japan are reporting on a new USS Arizona (BB39) kit. You can read that story here. And there are several other kits of note.
Ever wanted to re-create Doolittle's raid? Well Trumpeter is giving you your chance to fill the flight-deck of the CV-8 Hornet with B-25's and all in 1:350 scale! They also have a few kits that will please Gulf War era builders.
The USS Gettysburg (CG 64) entered service with the US Navy in 1993, as part of the Ticonderoga class. This kit features highly detailed radar towers and antennas, full deck detail, helicopters, boats and armament. The kit measures 18 3/4" long and is recommended for modelers age 10 and older. The kit is widely available as of this report.

The Walrus-class submarine is the only submarine class currently in operation in the Royal Netherlands Navy. They have been in service since 1990 and are all named after sea mammals.

On American public television, the 3rd season of the series 'Nazi Mega Weapons', has an episode on Germany's submarines of World War II. It serves pretty well as a primer on u-boats and the Battle of the Atlantic.
