Introduction
NOCH makes figures along with their natural scenery items. This review is their N scale set Pedestrians, item 38100.

NOCH's brand is known for their yellow packaging so perhaps this red package needs an introduction. It is a new range of figures, NOCH Hobby Figures;
    The new Hobby Figures are ideal for populating places, platforms, parks, wagons etc. at a favourable price. The Hobby Figures are painted simply and this is reflected in the great value. These figures are already available in the most popular gauges H0, TT and N. - NOCH

N scale Pedestrians, Hobby Figures
NOCH packs these six figures in a form-fitted cradle, held inside a hard plastic case.

Six figures are included:
    Man waving
    Woman waiting
    Man in waistcoat
    Woman in dress
    Man standing
    Child

These figures feature remarkably fine molding. They have no flash or seam lines or other molding flaws.

Detail
These figures have good posing and proportions. Look closely and you will see clothing detail, especially on the coat man and the two women. There is a trace of facial detail, and the hands and feet look good for the scale. From what I can tell, the clothing is suitable for western cultures circa 1940 and later.

Painting
NOCH Hobby Figures are painted at the factory. The difference is that they are not painted to the same degree of detail of NOCH's traditional figures. Those figures have more colors differentiating shirts/coats/scarves/hats/straps/belts, etc.. NOCH Hobby Figures have different colors but just not as many clothing details are picked out. With an approximately 3-4 savings, NOCH Hobby Figures should be welcomed by many modelers seeking good figure sets to populate their layout. Many modelers will probably enjoy customizing their set with a bit of brushwork if they so desire.

Conclusion
NOCH's diminutive set of six Pedestrians are well detailed figures. They will enhance any N scale scene c. 1940s on. Recommended.
