This is a review of the CONCORD PUBLISHING Book called Special Ops Journal of the Elite Forces & SWAT UNITS. Vol.27
The Book is of 8.5x11 card stock material paper. with 65 pages of all color photos. The narrative is from a French photographer that was captured by the Iraqi forces, and escorted thru out the area of operations during OIF. This is a compalation of his photos while on that journey. The book is made up
of 15 Chapters or sections (if you prefer), with all types of US,British OIF AFV's in country. Towards the end of the book there are several photos of Iraqi T-72's,SCUD's, APC's, BMP's, T-55, and captured M901
ITV's . The photos are of exceptional quality, and provide a detailed look into , Field mods, and vehicle stowage on vehicles while in country on the move thruout BAGHDAD. Of interest are 3RD ID, and MEF
vehicles and Armor. There are a few shot of the cities involved, but most photos are of ARMOR and Light
skinned vehicles. This book should provide those ,working on the current Tamiya and DML OIF releases, a wealth of detailing referance. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate this offering a solid 8, because of the subject matter and the speed in which it was published.
