IJN Bridge Windows - 1/700
LinoRoar WWII IJN Bridge Windows - 1/700

by: Jim Adams [ GOLDENPONY ]

Intro…

Just about every kit has little bumps going up bulkheads and funnels. To be honest they just look, bad. But, once again there are after market items that will help.

The Set…

This set only has one thing for your ships, bridge windows. On the divine scale ships the bridge windows are one area that is almost always lacking. They are small and hard to make look decent.

If you decide to take the replacement approach you will have to remove the old windows. This could be the worst part of the whole operation, only slip and you might ruin the bridge section. The is also one of the newer sets to have the plastic backing sheets. If you have not used a fret with these you will like it.

This one fret should have enough windows to supply almost the whole Midway Strike Force.

Thoughts…

As I get deeper and deeper into building the divine scale ships I try more and more different replacement items. The windows are tricky to work with, but they will make a big difference.

SUMMARY
Highs: Another unique item to make your build just that much better.
Lows: Can be a little hard to work with. Almost always will require surgery on your kit.
Verdict: Very good way to spruce up your build. Good value for the money.
