Greetings all;

It has been proposed and queried by several here that we do a WNW GB similar to the 2008 Roden GB. This would be different as most of you have purchased your kit. With the Roden GB they gave us 7 kits to get the ball rolling. The interest in WNW kits has everyone jumping into the pool, clothes and all. Right now there are four kits available. If there is enough response we should make plans now.

We would probably go with an Air Campaign under that title. Unless you want to wait until 2010? We could call it the Lord of the Wings GB?

All reasonable and respectful comments welcome.

Wonderful idea Stephen ! Been hearing how great the kits are, now it would be even better to see them built on the site in a GB from all the inspiring talent which is featured here .

Nice call on the tilte , it's perfect !

If I can get a hold of one of the upcoming D.Vs or D.VIIs, I would love to do one of them. You know I have been patiently waiting for a 1/32 D.V for many, many years.

I don't know about all the fighter talk. On the bottom of the up-coming page they have a Gotha in 1/32 scale coming out. As the old saying goes "fighter pilots make movies, bomber pilots make history."

I'd be interested in this one, My fate with WWI subjects is well known here though. The wings always get me, something about the struts and the angles always get me. These seem to have a more poative attachment point so i may just go ahead and try.

The F.2b has many, many struts. But the attachment points are really nice, and look to be almost fool-proof. And I am going to be the fool to try it. I sent in a review of the kit and it is going to get built as soon as I finish the two builds I am working on now.

Ok folks I am about to bring us all into the modern realm.

Some of you have been asking about a GB? I am willing to head it up. I will include all current & existing WNW builds. But I have also been encouraged to make it an unofficial contest of sorts. To begin on September 1, 2009 and go through December 31 2009 As usual Aeroscale and kitmaker staff cannot be named to win, but can participate and asked to judge. The winner will get a new and as yet unspecified 1/32 Wingnut Wings kit . If the build gets minor support (under 10) we will host it here like the previous Roden GB. If the GB get major support (10 or more) we'll put it on the Group Builds title with Campaign ribbon and all the trimmings.

The object is to put in everything you can in the kit OOB, aftermarket or scratchbuilt its wide open.

For the ribbon I was thinking. . .a hippo with wings? Speak up now or for ever hold your joystick at neutral.

Stephen,

I have quite a lot of references for the FE2b and Gotha. I'll probably pick one of these (actually, probably both). I'm gonna build them anyhow so I'll be glad to do them for the Campaign.
