Hi all,

I've been doing some research and can't seem to find what I am looking for (google has led me to a bit of a dead-end). I have the Italeri M4A3 76mm and was wondering if it would be appropriate to put in place with 2nd armored division troops in France in late summer of '44? I have read it was around in August but not sure if the 2nd AD had any. Anyone happen to know if this would be a faux paux? Thanks in advance!

Hey Matt
Personally I'd run with a M4A1 76 W for the 2AD from say July onwards 1944. I have seen a few M4A3 76 W in the independent tank battalions around this time, so it may be worth searching this avenue of thought?
Good luck

Brad

I've found quite a few pics of M4A1(76)s in use by 2nd AD, but none of the A3.

For August-early September I think that you would be safest going with an M4A1 76 (W). I believe that the M4A3 76 started to really be seen in late fall early winter.
