Trying to get the deck vehicles finished... Also added tow-bars to some of the aircraft.

Thomas,

Well it sure looks like you are making great progress. The hardware on the flight deck is looking awesome.

Thanks Mark. Been slow going for a while. This campaign has motivated me to finish it up.

What Thomas said,

Also glad the Campaign has provided that motivation, I know what is like to get stuck on a big build, I have been there myself.

Glad you have kept things going whilst time has kept me out of the workshop.

Cheers

No photos yet, but progress made. Added bumpers to the stern boat dock, replaced signal flag lines with thinner line, placed warning stripes around weapon elevators on deck. Only a few minor tweaks and I may declare Reagan ready to launch!

Last weekends work.... Finally!

The side elevator fresh of the sprue.

All etched up with the completed side structure.(The underneath that is)

The side pieces fitted in in place.

A few more bits and pieces and I think about paint.

Cheers

Si

Wow, Si, that elevator etch is stunning! Too bad it will be rather hard to see under elevator on the finished model...

So I know I haven't posted anything lately, but that has been due a few AFV group builds I wanted to finish off first. With that said I glad to say I finished my last AFV build for the year today.

So back to my 3 deck Akagi build. I have deck areas taped off in prep to painting the decks and put some primer on the hull.

So while the paint booth was busy with armor I started to assemble the air wing. The kit only came with six fighters and six torpedo bombers, so I purchase additional aircraft.

My goal in this build is to use this photo to create the same scene, give or take.

Until the next post.

Si, I am impressed with your brass work! That takes way more skill and patience than I think I could muster!

Mark, looking good so far. Can't wait to see the full deck!

Thank you very much Thomas,

It is more down to perseverance and practice.

Hi Mark,

Agree with Thomas' comment the ship is looking good, and great stuff on all the tiny aircraft. way too small for my eyes.

Todays progress will follow tomorrow or Tuesday.

Cheers

Si
