Have not been on the Boards for a while so time to get back into it. The old Tamiya Kit is a good starting point but the detail is a bit soft or non existant. This is what I will be Building....Cheers Mark

Mark,

That is a lot of after market hardware you have there. It may take you as long to build her as it took the Germans...LOL.

Mark,

Looks like a nice job removing those ladders from the hull. It can be very tough getting those off without gouging the hull. Those PE ladders will make a difference.

Thanks for the comments Gents. Pilot Holes for the Rungs have already been done awaiting those P/E Rungs later in the Build. The Prop Shaft Housings are now fitted but are an atrocious fit. Puttied with some sanding to come.....Cheers mark

Surprising to see a Tamiya kit that needs so much filler Mark, but it does happen

I know Russ. The Kit appeared in the late 70's. It has rereleased quite a few times over the Years. If the Moulds were not cleaned up it could be wear and tear from so many shots into the Moulds. I think this may be the case as there are a lot of flow lines on the Hull...Cheers mark

Thanks Gents. The Prop Shafts and Skegs were also a woeful fit. Might go through Putty on this one.....Cheers mark
