The Set...

This resin and photo-etch set from Admiralty Model Works contains four Royal Navy World War II 32’ Cutters. They are appropriate for use on a variety of British World War II Destroyers, Cruisers, Battlecruisers and Battleships.

The cutters are beautifully cast with very crisp details. There are internal details with the matting on the floor of the stern and a slot for the photo-etch support for the seat slats in the middle. The photo etch fret features a single piece for all the upper boards with the seat slats etched in relief, the rudder and the center support piece. There is a large casting block on the bottom of each boat which tapers down to a fine edge along the keel which should make it relatively easy to separate and clean up.

The directions, located on the back of the package tab consist of a gray scale image with the photo etch parts shone in a gold color. While the directions are small, you can clearly see where the gunwale/slats, propellers and rudder are attached.

The craftsmanship is extraordinary and each is a mini kit unto itself. I highly recommend these 32’ Cutters to those of you who love to detail your 1/700 scale World War II Royal Navy warships.

Hi Jim Colin Swager from New Zealand here. All the various boats that you have shown from Admiralty Model works look fantastic but are all in 1/700 scale . I am enbarking on a Trumpeter 1/350 HMS Hood and would love to get some quality boats to augument this kit. Do you know of anyone who might produce RN cutters, launches and motor boats in 1/350 scale. Kind regards Colin
