HMS Delhi - 1942

Another 1:1250 Jewel

HMS Delhi in 1942

After a refit in USA, the light cruiser HMS Delhi of the D-class (first world war design, 4.850 tons/length 472 ft) appeared in a three-tone admiralty disruptive painting scheme and an unique armament. In this state she is shown here in the waves of the Atlantic.

The Neptun model N-1148 received some modifications concerning the antennas, specially the british types on the top of the rangefinders instead of US-radars.

The Delhi was the only british light cruiser which received US 5"single gun turrets, like the Fletcher destroyers and US Mk37 directors.
