Building The Lieutenant Burakov

I used the Russian publication Morskaya Kollektsia, 5/2000, 'Vnimatelny' and others, which have some photos within, as well as a side elevation general arrangement drawing , which appeared to contradict my new sheerline to the extent that I proceeded to re-bend into a flatter profile the aft section of the hull.

Construction was both rapid as well as easy, many tiny details were added such as gratings, anchors, fairleads, sounding platform and coal scuttles on the deck.

After looking at Jim's works, I always have a tendency to repeat myself (with my comments)... Besides being fun to see how Jim solves some problems, it is also a pusher for making better models (from me) Jim is a real DRIVER or PUSHER with his works, as is Mike McCabe, Peter Fulgoney and most of the small scale warship SIG guys! Bravo once again, Jim Thanks for sharing it, Skipper

I think the build up pictures are 50% of the fun of viewing the work, and I shall try to do the same in future. Jim has shown the way! Cheers, Peter F
