The ships of XII Annual AMA Exhibition

Honoring Pedro Figueira and Joćo Nogueira
In November 2007 and February 2008, the portuguese modeling community lost two great persons. One was Pedro Figueira, the real promoter of AMA - Almada's Modeling Association, back in 1994/95. Pushing and convincing a few more of us, and there we go for a adventure in a Association!

Always enthusiastic about everything model related, critic but in a good way, always pushed persons to give their best and to evolute, always eager for the latest news and latest techniques, he kept on buying a lot of models, but strangely, the last models he made/rebuilt were the old box scale Revell ships and a multitude (I dare to say ALL) of 1/700 scale.... airplanes!

We always joked with Pedro, that he continuously painted the pilots eyes... crossed - and he took it with a smile!
Joćo Nogueira was a friend of AMA, and he also helped us having great diorama's in our annual expo. Joćo had another interesting detail, apart from being a great modeler: he worked with Joćo Espadinha in a duo! A not very often situation seen in this so "lonely" hobby, where most of us show our individualism.
Both of them departed still young and to disease.
I would like to thank them both, for a great lesson in modeling and in life in general, and for the privilege to have known them!
