Hi Frank
Some unusual subjects that I haven't seen for a long time (Pyro small boats, Tucumcary Hydrofoil and the SS Savanah, amongst others)!!
Nice display indeed - Thanks for taking your time taking the photos and sharing them with us!

Great show, well organized by the best modelers in Toronto. The highlight for me was the scratchbuilt 600th HMS Suffolk, fantastic model!
I picked up a very interesting model there, the 350th HMCS Haida destroyer (1953-1956 version) in resin from The Resin Shipyard, great looking model, they threw in the Hiada photo cd which contains 431 close up detail photos. I'll have a review up shortly.

Hi Frank
Darren models look very good - and I have pest him to do them in 700th (but this is another talk!)
Nice to know that the Suffolk was scratchbuilt! Very impressive indeed.... I was a bit curious about it, but now I know!
Thanks for the further explanation, Frank!

Frank,
Very Nice photos of the Torcan show, some nice pieces. But I have to admit I'm surprised.....No Corvettes ? Considering the History and traditions of the RCN, I always look forward to seeing a cross section of these small fighting ships in all their color. Oh well, there's always next year.
But Thank You for the picture review of what was there. Semper Fi ............Bruce

Hi Bruce,
Yes, there was a 72nd corvette on display, (and quite well done) but due to the layout of the display tables, even with a wide angle lens, I would of had to stand beyond the next row of tables to photograph it, well beyond my flash range. If I see a photo of it, I'll link it to this thread.

Iv never seen a show with so many models squeezed on the tables ...the turnout was a Canadian record ,and well beyond the clubs expectations. There were alot of very impressive models there done by some skilled modellers.
