"Join me in a photo walk-about gallery of this years IPMS USA National Convention, held in Virginia Beach, Virginia!"

This year's IPMS USA National Convention was held in the beautiful Virginia Beach Convention Center, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. From the first looks of the show, which was an RC submarine demonstration held outside of the front of the building all day long, in the facilities in-ground water pools, I felt that a good experience was about to unfold...and I was right!

Inside I found multiple vendor tables, offering specials on many goodies and "must-haves" in the hobby, and a HUGE room of entry tables. The ships category was quite impressive, with multiple types, styles, scales, and displays of vessels, as well as some mighty fine looking sea-plane's. All in all, the show was a grand success, so please take a moment with me now, for a walk through of the show!

I have been building models of all sorts all of my life, concentrating mainly on the coolest one's when I was younger, but now I focus directly on all military subjects, from armor to warships. After years of counting rivets, I put away the calipers, dial indicators, and micrometers and now just ha...

Too bad I missed that one. But, as all of us Cubs fans are famous for saying, "Wait until next year!" Fantastic group of ships represented. Thank you for taking the time to adjust, crunch, and fix all those pictures for us.

Did you see any of the new 1/700 scale kits that were there?

Sure did! Most impressive was Admiralty Modelworks' new USS Spokane, but there were many other very nice looking newbies about as well...

Hi Mark! Well I must say that this was a very good show, very unique and good level of ship models, both variety and quality! I was able to recognize some of David Griffith's models, Kenny's Bull Of Samar and a few from Bob Cicconi. Eventually a couple form Mike Tailor Excellent models Thank you for a great photo coverage!
