Forgotten Sisters Campaign Wrap-up

Forgotten Sisters strike again...
This campaign has finally made it, since the idea has been around MSW for some years. The amount of members interested in it grew to a number where the campaign receive a GO - 17 enlisted crew members.Wildspear had the responsibility of being Campaign Leader and as far as I am concerned, he has made a good effort on keeping the Campaign alive and motivating all the entrants to finish their entries.
As with many other campaigns, the end result was short in numbers, but with some high quality models finished, and this time, has in other campaigns, Harry Abbot from BattleFleet Models decided that in the end, a prize should be given to the best model, after a people's choice voting - from the editor: Thank you Harry, for supporting MSW!.
The honor was granted to Christer Johansson aka Roy with his 1/700 HMS Prince of Wales, Battle of Malaya, December 1941. The model was upgraded with after market PE sets from White Ensign Models and Gold Medal Models figures, and created a very convincing diorama, packed with action, in my humble opinion... Also, and again in my humble opinion, Steve-o's entry, DKM Tirpitz, revealed a lot of attention to detail, painting and rigging! Another potential winner, but we could only have one.
Though choice!
Here's is the list of entrants and the entries, in alphabetical order (by Callsign): Blaster76 with a 1/350 IJN Yukikaze Grayghost666 with a 1/400 DKM Gneisenau HeyLoad with a 1/350 DD-537 USS The Sullivans Navy52 with a 1/700 HMS Repulse Roy with a 1/700 HMS Prince of Wales Skipper with a 1/700 SSGN Omsk Steve-o with a 1/700 DKM Tirpitz and finally our Campaign Leader Wildspear with a 1/700 DD-797 USS Cushing.Has you can see, there's a trend for WWII ships (all but the SSGN Omsk) and also 1/700 scale (two 1/350 and one 1/400). Of note is also the almost finished entries of Martin J. Quinn, Kenny Loup and Tom Hathaway, and me, that need to finish the diorama! To all these great ship modelers, I wish them to keep on working on their projects and delight us with these wonderful finished projects! Keep on!
The MODELS
To all entrants and supporters, MSW gives you a BIG THANK YOU! Rui Matos (aka skipper)
