The Queen Elizabeth 2...

RMS Queen Elizabeth 2 served as the flagship of the Cunard Cruise line from 1969 until 2004 when she was succeeded by the Queen Mary 2. Built in Clydebank, Scotland, she was considered the last of the great transatlantic ocean liners prior to the construction of the QM2.

Her namesake, RMS Queen Elizabeth, was destroyed by a fire during her refit. RMS Queen Elizabeth 2 is also known simply as the QE2. One distinction about her name is she uses the number 2 instead of II to represent her status as the second to bear the name.

At the time of her retirement in November of 2008 she has sailed over 6 million miles, carried 2.5 million passengers, and made 806 transatlantic crossing.

Built here she represents her colors during her early career. The base kit is from Airfix.
